Zachary placed a $1 side bet in the hopes of winning the 100% jackpot. The chances of hitting a royal flush are 1 out of 649,741 so many decide not to take the side bet. I imagine Zachary was feeling lucky so he took his chances and also he had learned something from previous play.

While playing at Bodog casino in the past, Zachary had hit the royal flush but had not made the side bet. He stated that it hurt to hit it without the side bet and “that’s why you can’t be afraid to go big and always make the side bet”.

This time Zachary chose to play the side bet and it paid off. He stated that he plans to take a vacation with the money he has won and also enter in a World Series of Poker tournament. Zachary was quoted as saying: “I’ve been playing Let’Em Ride a little while and when I hit the jackpot I couldn’t believe it. I was very excited.”
